CELEBRATING EACH OTHER’S WINS
Legacy Masters Swim Club is a motley crew of athletes. On the one hand we’ve got seasoned , accomplished swimmers who who haven’t raced in years, and on the other we’ve got adults new to the sport who’ve never climbed up on a starting block in their lives. But we have one thing in common: We all love swimming.
Every September, Legacy swimmers sign up for a competitive swimming season that is organized around the MSABC/Swim Canada swim meet calendar into 6-8 week training cycles. We come to workouts to get ourselves ready to race; we go to swim meets to test our limits and experience the thrill of competition.
Over the course of the season we come together to train, compete, support each other in and out of the lanes, hone our skills, connect with masters swimmers across the province, volunteer, indulge in swim nerdery, and build a community that values fitness, team effort, cammaradarie, and fun.
In the end we’re all here to celebrate each other’s wins — from achieving fitness goals to diving off the blocks; from finishing 25 metres of butterfly to setting masters age group records.

We’re Local
We swim at Britannia Pool, located at 1661 Napier Street, Vancouver.
Britannia isn’t shiny, fancy, or new, but it’s our home, and we are proud to represent East Van.
How to join
Our biggest challenge as a club is that we have a lot of swimmers, a range of abilities, and limited pool space. If you are interested in joining us, you can start out as a standby swimmer. First, fill out our waitlist form. We’ll send you a registration form and invite you to one of our Saturday morning team workouts. After we see you swim, you’ll be assigned to one of our standby lists, and you can attend up to three workouts/skills sessions per week, as per availability. Then, if a regular training group spot opens up suited to your swimming speed and ability, you’ll be next in line!
MSABC
Legacy Masters Swim Club is affiliated with the Masters Swimming Association of British Columbia (MSABC). All swimmers pay an annual registration fee of $90, which is mandatory for insurance purposes. MSABC membership allows swimmers to participate in masters swim meets and other masters swimming events worldwide.
