Skills and Special Topics: Fridays @ 6:30 am

Friday morning skills sessions are open to all swimmers unless otherwise indicated. Standby swimmers can sign up for Friday mornings as their first or third workout of the week. Regular training group members can sign up for Friday morning sessions if they have purchased a workout top-up card.


Jan 9: Breastroke specialists & friends

6:30 – 8 AM

A workout for breaststroke specialists and anybody who wants to focus on breaststroke for an entire session. Drills, kicking, pulling, speed.

Jan 16: Distance freestyle & friends

6:30 – 8 AM

A distance for those who are going to be swimming the mile in Victoria, and anyone who wants to join them.

Jan 23: Chill drills/pre-meet swim

6:30 – 7:30 AM

Swimmers who’ll be attending the LC meet in Victoria will get first dibs on this low-intensity, feel-good workout.

Jan 30: Happy Flyday

6:30 – 7:30 AM

A workout for butterfly specialists — and anyone brave enough to join them! Drills, kicking, resist→assist, speed.

Feb 6: Chill drills/pre-meet swim

6:30 – 7:30 AM

Swimmers who’ll be attending the March Madness meet in Chilliwack will get first dibs on this low-intensity, feel-good workout.

Feb 13: Sprint freestyle

6:30 – 8 AM

If you want to swim fast, you have to practise swimming fast. For this workout, we’ll be focusing on 50-100 freestyle speed.

Feb 27: Stroke specialty sprint

6:30 – 8 AM

A sprint workout for backstrokers, breastrokers, and butterflyers. We will be focusing on 50-100 speed.

Mar 9: Chill drills/pre-meet swim

6:30 – 7:30 AM
